Camerata Chicago and Joffrey Academy of Dance join forces once again to give you an innovative show with some amazing music at the Artist Series. We’ll perform the world premiere of the stunning and specially commissioned orchestral ballet of the children’s story Ferdinand. You’ll love the dancing to a Vivaldi violin concerto and the ballet suite ‘Paquita’ by Minkus.
The orchestra will start the evening with Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony and Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture.

Enjoy a fabulous performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons by sixteen year old violin prodigy Amelia Piscitelli with poetry read by Steve Robinson of WFMT fame. These concerts are in support of Camerata Chicago’s Vivaldi Four Seasons Educational Recording Project. Including the poetry written by Vivaldi himself, the recording is for a CD designed especially for children to learn this classic and be inspired in the riches of classical music. Camerata Chicago performs with the Fourth Church Choral Society comprising an eighty member chorus, organ, chamber orchestra and twelve soloists.
The Fourth Church Choral Society is directed by John W. Sherer.
Conducted by Drostan Hall, this performance marks the first anniversary of Camerata Chicago’s appointment as Orchestra-in-Residence at Fourth Presbyterian Church.
