Join violinist Amelia Piscitelli and pianist Cindy Trowbridge for this recital of works for violin and piano by Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Wieniawski, Rachmaninoff and Bloch. This benefit concert helps to raise funds to continue in our mission of inspiring the next generation of youthful musicians through our educational Academy program. Amelia is Concert Master of the Senior Academy Orchestra.

There are two editions of the concert on our ticket system:
Audience tickets: For those of you who would like to be physically present in the audience. If you purchase one of these you will receive a ticket to present at the box office as usual.

Academy Benefit Concert Biographies

Amelia Piscitelli, violin

Amelia Piscitelli graduated as Salutatorian from Hammond Baptist High School (Schererville, IN) in May 2019. She is currently enrolled as a Music Performance major at Hyles-Anderson College, a Bible college in Crown Point, IN. Amelia has played violin since 2005 and began to study violin seriously with Stephanie Allen in 2008. From 2009-2014 her violin studies continued with Debbie Edwards (Downers Grove Suzuki Strings) followed by Drostan Hall (Hall School of Music) from 2014 to the present.

She joined Camerata Chicago Academy in 2015 and has been Concertmaster since 2017. In December 2016 she performed live on WFMT’s Introductions (Chicago, IL). Since then her professional experience with Camerata Chicago has also included solo opportunities. Her professional solo debut performing the Svendsen Romance in 2016; performing the Bach Double with Mathias Tacke in 2017; soloist for Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in 2017 and 2018; soloist as part of the Wheaton College Artist Series in 2019. DMD Records recently released her first solo recording in July 2019 of the Vivaldi Four Seasons. She is often requested to participate in vocal groups at FBC Hammond as a violinist and vocalist.

Cindy Trowbridge, piano

Cindy Trowbridge is a member of the piano faculty at College of DuPage, where she teaches private and class piano and serves as staff accompanist. She does extensive work as an accompanist for vocal and instrumental recitals at Wheaton College, and performs as a collaborative pianist throughout the Chicagoland area. Cindy is the principal pianist for Credo Flute, and has served as music director for Wheaton College’s Opera Music Theater program and as pianist for DuPage Opera Theater. She has released recordings with the Carey Consort and has been featured in several WFMT live broadcasts. Cindy holds a Master of Music from Indiana University, where she studied with Menahem Pressler, and a Bachelor of Music from DePauw University. Cindy has collaborated with Drostan Hall and Amelia Piscitelli on a number of broadcast performances and concerts.
