In a spectacular world-premiere of a new ballet choreography of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, renowned violinist Rika Seko performs with the Joffrey Academy from Joffrey Ballet and the Camerata Chicago Chamber Orchestra at the Artist Series.

Conducted by Maestro Drostan Hall, Rika Seko and the Camerata Chicago Orchestra will also perform Vivaldi’s L’Estro Armonico Violin Concerto in A Minor Opus 3 No. 6.

After a year’s delay due to the pandemic, we the Wheaton College Artist Series presents this acclaimed collaboration between Joffrey Academy Dancers and Camerata Chicago Orchestra in a world premiere choreography of Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. This much-loved orchestral work will be presented with narrator to tease out the historical details of the work for children and adults of all ages who may not know the backstory of Vivaldi, the “Red Priest.” The performance is based on Camerata Chicago’s acclaimed recording of the work and promises to be a spectacle for the whole family.
