2022 Golden Age of Baroque

In a celebration of the Golden Age of Baroque, trumpeter Travis Heath performs the Tartini Trumpet Concerto with Camerata Chicago conducted by Maestro Drostan Hall. Camerata Chicago will perform the Concerto Grosso Alexander’s Feast by Handel, the Air from Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 and the Holberg Suite by Grieg – a variety of baroque and lyrical classics in a program which heralds the delights of spring.

Event Schedule

– 9:30 – 9:50 Arrive with greeting by Camerata Chicago Ladies Guild representative, then front and center seating

– 10:00 rehearsal begins

– 11:20 – 11:45 (approximate) orchestra break. Your own break can be extended as needed to allow an enjoyable break. Guests who would like to stay for the remainder of rehearsal will be guided back into the rehearsal quietly at a convenient time.

– 13:00 rehearsal ends

General Information

– The rehearsal will start promptly with a complete run of the concert program, so please arrive on time.

– Camerata Chicago will provide coffee, tea and water in the Fireside room.

– You can meet meet and mingle with the musicians at the break.

– There will be a short greeting by Maestro Hall.

– Guests can stay for the full duration of the rehearsal (10 a.m. – 1 p.m. including a break at 11:20 a.m.)

– You may also leave after the break if desired.

– Downtown Wheaton is lovely and nearby, you could go for a stroll or stay for lunch at one of the many excellent restaurants in town.
