BAROQUE CONCERTI SUMMER FESTIVAL JULY 14 – 16

Enjoy the outstanding musical artistry of Camerata Chicago in a summer festival of Baroque concerti. Young virtuoso violinists Ellen Maloney & Amelia Piscitelli will perform the Bach Double Violin Concerto and the Vivaldi Concerto for four violins, with Concertmaster Mathias Tacke formerly of the Vermeer String Quartet and Songhea Sackrider. Conducted by famed Maestro Drostan Hall, Camerata Chicago will accompany Ellen Maloney performing the Bach A Minor Violin Concerto and the Vaughan Williams neo-Baroque Violin Concerto Academico.

CAMERATA CHICAGO JOIN JOFFREY ACADEMY OF DANCE AT THE WHEATON COLLEGE ARTIST SERIES

A stunning show on January 27 combining the best of ballet with outstanding orchestral performance. Joffrey Academy of Dance performs with us at the Artist Series. Celebrating Mozart’s birthday, you will be treated to his 25th Symphony and the overture to La Finta Giardiniera, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings and Saint-Saens Wedding Cake with pianist Sun Chang. In the January 28 concert in Chicago we will perform these great works in their purely orchestral form. See latest photos here.

MOZART C MINOR MASS, CHICAGO

Mozart C Minor Mass, a magnificent work performed at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago, marking the start of Camerata Chicago’s appointment as Orchestra-in-Residence. The performance will comprise an eighty member double chorus, organ, chamber orchestra and four outstanding soloists:
– Laura Perkett, Soprano
– Kimberly Gunderson, Soprano II
– Cole Seaton, Tenor
– Daniel Richardson, Bass

A wonderfully romantic string orchestra concert with virtuoso performances of lyrical classics. The repertoire will include:

Svendsen Romance for Violin and Orchestra
Amelia Piscitelli

Atterberg Suite for Solo violin, viola and strings
Mathias Tacke and Rose Armbrust

The concert held on October 11, 2014 was attended by more than a thousand people, who were treated to Camerata Chicago’s dazzling performance of Beethoven’s fabulous fifth symphony.
